Join us for the Second Annual Camo for a Cause 5K! You can expect a beautiful course mapped out along the water, lots of fun booths and vendors, music throughout the trail to keep you pumped as well as SDSU cheer leaders and Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts from local troops, camo face painting station, bounce house for the kids, and of course festive Camo for a Cause 5k t-shirts, camo bandana, bibs, and finisher medal for first man and woman!
100% of the proceeds goes directly back to supporting our mission.
The Unbattle Project (UP) is a non-profit organization that offers free confidential counseling to men and women in the military. We believe that service members and veterans are “bent, not broken”. We want to help them get back to their lives by providing no-cost therapy in order to reduce the likelihood of homelessness and suicide.
Did you know that 1 in 5 veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars are diagnosed with PTSD and/or depression and that over 50% of homeless veterans have mental health issues? Did you also know that 20 veterans commit suicide each day and that veterans make up 20% of U.S. suicides? San Diego is known for being a military town. In fact, there are over 100,000 active duty and 240,500 veterans residing in San Diego County. It is very important that we get these men and women the help they need. If left untreated, many military men and women with mental health issues will continue to struggle to keep jobs. Consequently, these veterans end up on the streets, adding to our growing homeless population.

Join us as we gather together to improve the lives of active duty service members and veterans in San Diego County. Your support helps service members and veterans get access to confidential, no cost counseling services that assist them in coping with the extraordinary stressors and trauma involved in their military careers.

THE UNBATTLE PROJECT will be hosting the Beauty for a Cause on September 23, 2017 at the San Diego Natural History Museum. We at THE UNBATTLE PROJECT believe that true beauty is in the way that a person overcomes adversity. We want to celebrate the beauty and resiliency in all of us.
This event will include a guest speaker, fashion show with a unique flavor, heavy hor d'oeuvre, dancing and much more. Our goal is to raise $50,000 in order to fund free confidential counseling for our military men and women. 100% of the proceeds from this event will go to fulfilling THE UNBATTLE PROJECT's mission.

We are proud to present our first Unbattle on the Midway Banquette hosted by THE UNBATTLE PROJECT, on Sunday June 25th, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. on the USS Midway in San Diego, CA.
Entrance price to the Midway includes Color Guard and Anthem, music, heavy Hors D'oeuvre, dancing, silent auction, guest speaker, non-alcoholic beverages and a strong sense of community. Our silent auction begins at 6:00pm and ends at 9:30pm.
This elegant evening includes a culinary experience led by Chef Andrew. This is an Armed Forces "People's Choice" cook off, letting our military cooks show off their culinary skills. It will be an elegant evening with six (6) culinary stations offering an array of small plates along with a dessert table.
Attire: cocktail attire. Veterans/Active Duty are welcomed to wear their uniforms or medals.
